No matter how far a person can go, the horizon is still way beyond you.Zora Neale Hurston
The new frontier
Past the edge. Into the track.
Horizon is the highly requested follow-up to Vertigo. Where Vertigo chased radical granular experimentation, Horizon brings that exploratory DNA back into a sharper, more efficient and more versatile psytrance instrument.
The odd surprises are still there. The difference is intention: every patch is designed to earn its place in a real arrangement, from dancefloor foundations to the details that make a production feel unmistakably yours.
Inside the bank
A complete psytrance horizon.
Nine focused categories. One hundred sounds. Enough range to build the body of a track and the details around it without losing a coherent sonic identity.
Psytrance bass
Solid low-end foundations shaped for fast, controlled dancefloor pressure.
Ethno sounds
Organic gestures and ritual colours that open a more human dimension.
Leads
The core of Horizon: bright, strange and playable voices built to carry a hook.
Pads
Wide harmonic environments for depth, tension and lucid transitions.
Percussions
Synthetic impacts and animated hits that add movement between the beats.
Sequences
Rhythmic systems that turn a held note into an evolving psychedelic phrase.
Stabs
Compact, high-impact punctuation for drops, fills and syncopated motifs.
Zaps
Fast electrical gestures, elastic accents and unmistakable psytrance energy.

Built inside Phase Plant
The source matters.
Horizon begins before the preset. Its raw material comes from Fractal Sounds’ own granular sources and wavetable libraries, then becomes a complete playable system inside Phase Plant.
Fractal granular sources
Organic, unstable source material gives the bank texture beyond conventional oscillators.
Quantum Fold Vol.2
Space-folding wavetables add the electrified motion at the centre of Horizon’s palette.
Phase Plant architecture
Layered generators and modulation turn those sources into expressive, production-ready patches.
